TorontoRoom, A Media Page On The Rise

The Toronto Room started April of last year when a Toronto citizen who goes by “JS” thought that Toronto’s music scene and creative local brands needed to be better represented. The only pages doing so at the time were 6ixbuzz and Waverooom, but they felt that there needed to be something new, unique, with its own original flavor.

He came up with the rather absorbing name of Toronto Room and the rest as they say is history, as the page has taken off and currently stands at around 214k followers and growing.

The Toronto Room page showcases a wide variety of posts, from your latest local news, to recently released tracks from Toronto based artists, to just pure, unadulterated comedy. The overarching goal of the page is to connect the city and make sure up-and-coming brands and artists have an outlet where they can be showcased and exposed to new potential fans.

Apart from this, they have added variety (the spice of life) to their posts with interesting news bits, comedic memes, local announcements, and even political commentary so followers can remain in the know while scrolling through IG.

As an example, one of their posts features a heartbreaking video showing a 10 year old child, hiding from a police car while playing in his own front yard has gone viral, after capturing worldwide attention in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

The Toronto Room’s team of one administrator and several content creators/moderators always put in a lot of work in order to curate high quality content and deliver something new to their followers each and every single day.

As part of their page monetization strategy, the Toronto Room also offers paid promotions for select brands and artists, while also providing a Spotify playlist add option on their trending playlist Toronto Room Premiers. The team is also currently working on a Youtube page, to which artists will be able to submit both previously released and brand new music videos to.

With all that is presently in the works, there is plenty to look forward to from the Toronto Room. In the meantime, be sure to check out and follow their Instagram Page and if you have any questions or would like to schedule a promotion, all you have to do is send them a direct message via their page to get in touch.
