Nippa Releases R&B Banger “The One”

Tottenham R&B artist Nippa has dropped his latest track “The One”. Coming as the second single on his newest EP, “Not a Statistic, “The One” is a groovy and smooth banger who’s deep bass and silky vocals make for a fantastic record. Without a doubt this is a tune you must listen to, so give the video a peep and see what the U.K. is up to.

Nippa’s hometown, Tottemham, is well known in the scene for being the origin of giants like Skepta, JME, and Wretch 32. This North London artist is continuing the tradition of great music in the area with his “hood R&B” style. Beginning to drop tracks in 2022, the 22-year-old saw early success with “Squeezin’ Ya” and “Change My Tone”. Recorded while the artist was still studying in the University of Kent, the songs now have hundreds of thousands of streams. In 2021 he came out with yet more hitters like “Situation”. In fact, this song caught the attention of super-producer Boi-1da who gave the artist serious props for the track. Rounding out the year, he released his self-titled EP, “Nippa”, which built on the melodic foundations he laid up to this point.

Finally, a year later we have the follow-up project to “Nippa”. “Not a Statistic” is a four-track where each song is crafted with great beauty and intention. The other three songs, “Not a Statistic”, “Where The At”, and “Snow Girl” each feel completely unique. Overall, the collection is an excellent showcase of Nippa’s versatility, with “The One” being an awesome example of his style.

You Need Someone That’s Around

SHOW N PROVE holds down the production on this record, with a cool reversed sample and soft clap that provide the perfect bed for Nippa’s vocals. The song is sensual and undeniably smooth in its execution. Romantic bars flow easily like the hook “out of all these girls you might be the one”. More humorous lines are present as well such as “got me feeling eighteen, first time I nutted”. But he still keeps it street with “I’m paranoid when I speak so I came with a stainless”. Nippa’s interesting hood R&B keeps you locked in throughout the song, making for a stellar track.

Dances and JRX directed and edited this video respectively. Nippa delivers his bars easily in a relaxed and crisp upscale apartment with red brick walls. A basketball court shows the artist in a blue sweatsuit holding a bottle of Hennessy, turning up with his team. Finally, he raps from inside of a car parked in a large and well-lit lot. All in all the visual hits well with the song itself.

Nippa is on Instagram where he’s currently promoting the release of his new EP heavy. “The One” is out now on all platforms, and be sure to tap into the rest of “Not a Statistic” to get more of this artist’s fantastic flavor.
