Xheffie – NONSTOP ft. DBx2
Xheffie and DBx2 Release New Song “NONSTOP”
Hailing from Toronto’s west end, rapper Xheffie has teamed up with Edmonton/Toronto artist DBx2 to release the music video to their latest single “NONSTOP”. This drill banger has a catchy hook and crisp flows coming from both rappers, netting a track that you should absolutely check out.
Xheffie has been honing his abilities for some time now, beginning his craft as early as 2007. Self described as a quiet and introspective kid, he began spitting freestyles in his highschool lunchroom that he would then upload to facebook. This was only the beginning for the artist, as he now has a lengthy back catalog of music. His mixtape series “Tapes from the Kurb” released its sixth installment in 2021, with dozens of singles in between the drops of his longer projects. Music videos fill up the rapper’s YouTube channel as well, with several dozen collectively earning over a million views. Indeed, Xheffie is deep in his grind.
DBx2 joins him as the feature on this track, another artist who has steadily been releasing songs for some time now. He enjoys the success of several of his tracks on Spotify that have earned over a hundred thousand plays, including the hard-hitters “Winter Clothes” and “Block Boys”. The two artists coming together on “NONSTOP” creates a powerful combination.
Drill Music with Flair from the 6ix
Descending dramatic violins form the base of this track’s instrumental, with a massive drill 808 punching and gliding throughout. Xheffie comes in with the incredible chorus that draws you into the song immediately, before beginning to spit outrageous bars. One of our favorites in this single is “Y’all still mad that I’m breathing/ cuz your block got pepper like seasoning”. DBx2 as well brings the heat with his verse. From the opening line “I’m from the dirty south/that’s not Alabama”, the artist sets the stage for “nonstop” heater lyrics.
The video, directed by Anthony La Rose, features Xheffie performing in and around a black Cadillac SUV. Shots dive in and out in slow motion as the rapper brings a high energy performance, you can’t help but knock your head as the artist spits with enthusiasm and style. DBx2 also comes across with a great deal of spirit, him and his crew rapping in front of a corner store with a pitbull and bottle of Brisk. This music video matches the mood of the track well and is a thoroughly exciting watch.
Xheffie and DBx2 can both be found on Instagram where they regularly post about their latest drops. Check out “NONSTOP” on Xheffie’s YouTube channel and be taken into this amazing drill artist’s world.
