Jay Givenchy has been rapping since a young age. During a stint in prison before he was even 19 years old, Jay would earn clout from his fellow inmates by winning battle rap competitions on the grounds. Upon his release the rapper was discovered by Koly P, who featured the young Jay Givenchy on his 2018 song “I Pray” from his album Koly Bible 2. Shortly after this feature Jay  dropped his first song “Cam Newton” as a SoundCloud exclusive, with the music video gaining some traction online and putting his name on the map in the rap game. 2022 has brought a flurry of singles from the rapper, including “Glory”, “Steppin”, and “Uppercut”. “All She Needs” is another fire addition to Jay’s catalog, showing he has plenty more to give us.

F$O Pete and F$O Dinero join him on this track, adding their own flavor to an already hoppin’ single. The three together mesh well, taking this beat to another level and spitting mad bars every step of the way.

“All She Needs” features excellent production all around on the instrumental, with a single deep piano hit being accented by a few swelling synths and drums that get your head moving the moment they hit. The three artists don’t trade full verses so much as they alternate every few bars, which is part of what gives this track its unique feel. Each rapper has a distinctive voice and style, with their different vocal textures and flows acting as candy for the ears. All three deliver some very funny lines throughout such as “She keep telling me what she needs she thinking I’m a genie” and “She dropped outta college cuz the strip club gave a scholarship”. We can only hope these three artists can come together on a follow-up track, as the combination is completely gas.

Reel Films directed the music video, which has a sharp colour contrast between two locations. The first is a pastel-pink apartment where a gorgeous woman lounges in a bath while the rappers sit on the edge of the tub and spit their bars. Second is a matte black indoor garage where the rappers perform in, on, and around a luxury car. As the scenes go back and forth, the texture they create is similar to that of the song: playful, but with a serious edge lying beneath. An exceptional effort all around, this visual is a must-view.
