Cholocash Drops “Pretty Woman” Off his New EP

Toronto artist Cholocash has released his newest music video for “Pretty Woman”, a single from his EP “Love So Loud”. This artist’s latest song has a nostalgic feel to it, with distinctly modern vocal production that creates a truly unique vibe that you should definitely check out.

A consistently creative artist over the last few years, Cholocash continues to elevate his style with the release of this record. Beginning to put out music in 2019, Cholocash doesn’t let more than a few months go by without dropping a cool new track, easily achieving thousands of streams with each song. His EP “Love So Loud” has a completely unique sound to it, less based around heavy trap 808s and more full of midwestern guitar samples and even some rock grooves. Midwestern Vibes form a Toronto Artist

As the track fades in with an almost pop-rock guitar lead line, Cholocash begins to sing the chorus to open up the track. The hook is undeniably catchy (“Pretty pretty woman/but she ain’t really pretty on the inside”) and forms the basis for the flows the artist hits throughout the song. A deep reese bass forms the bedrock for the kick and snare, which take on more of a rock groove than you would expect in a hip-hop song. Cholocash’s vocal variation is something to really behold in this track, hitting extreme highs and taking an emo drawl during some of the tracks best moments. It’s truly a different kind of song.

The video for “Pretty Woman” is just as creative as the song itself. Put together by Valour Productions, it features Cholocash singing to a beautiful young woman who plays hot and cold throughout the story. The duo drive in a classic Mercedes-Benz with white wall tires, with Cholocash wearing a white bow-tie and vest. Stylish and old school elements like this really help drive home the nostalgia of the song, and it all comes together to create a beautiful visual companion to the track.
