Nickname: NAV

Name: Navraj Singh Goraya

Place of birth: Toronto, Canada

Nav, a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer, began his career as a producer. He eventually worked with Canadian rapper Drake on “Back to Back” in 2015. After that he got mainstream attention when his song “Myself” went viral in 2016.

He signed to XO and Republic Records and released his self-titled debut mixtape in 2017. The following year, he released “Perfect Timing” with “Metro Boomin”. His track “Held me Down” from “Metro Boomin” is one of the best NAV songs out there.

On “Metro Boomin”, he collaborated with Offset and Playboy Carti, among other influential rappers. NAV started getting noticed because of his easy flow and mad lyrics.

His third studio album Reckless debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 in 2018; his highest-charting song to date is “Turks”, which peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2020. “Turks” is a collaboration with Travis Scott and Gunna, and it is one of the ultimate favorites.

His fifth album, “Brown Boy 2”, dropped in the same year, and it also hit number one. He rather quickly became one of the most famous Toronto rappers out there. Two years ago, he dropped “Tap” with Meek Mill, which was a dream collaboration.

NAV has gained respect in the industry and collaborated with all of the big faces in the game. One year ago, he collaborated with Lil Baby on “Don’t need no friends”, which has 13M views on YouTube.
